ELECTRIC BLANKETS EXPLAINED
UNDERBLANKET - Lies flat on top of the mattress, some are held in place by tie tapes, that go under the mattress. Others do not require tie tapes due to their special material and design.
MATTRESS COVER - Easy to fit, acts as a mattress protector. Like a fitted sheet they cover the entire top and all sides of the mattress. Held in place by an elasticised skirt that hugs the under side of the mattress.
OVERBLANKET - Just like a traditional blanket used with a sheet and blankets or fitted inside a duvet cover and turned on when necessary.
EFFICIENCY - Heated bedding is a very efficient method of heating; for under 1p per hour you can keep snug and warm with an electric blanket! (based on a double blanket at the standard domestic rate.)
PRE-HEAT - Some blankets have a pre-heat facility, to make your bed warm and cosy before you get in.
ULTRA FAST PRE-HEAT – Warms the bed to the optimum temperature in 10 minutes or less.
STANDARD PRE-HEAT - Warms the bed in around one hour.
DUAL CONTROL - enables the 2 sides to be set at different heat levels according to personal preference. Ideal if your partner prefers a warmer or cooler bed to you.
MACHINE WASHABLE - Detachable control(s) enable the blanket to be put in the washing machine keeping them clean and hygienic.
WASHABLE - These cannot be put in the washing machine but can be lightly sponged down.
HEAT SETTINGS - Enables the blanket to be set at different heat levels, the more heat levels the more adaptable to your needs and comfort levels.
