A Toning Belt to tone your tummy after pregnancy?

using an ab toning belt to get a toned stomach after pregnancy

February 28, 2013 by Shaun Day

During pregnancy, a woman can gain 1st 12 lb on average which means that losing a big tummy is kind of an ‘impossible-mission’ or is it?

HSDonline guides you along this tricky period and explains how a toning belt can help you.

Patience + Moderate exercise =  flat tummy!

However, with some patience, by respecting some diet rules and by practising soft exercise before using  a toning belt: it’s possible to progressively lose your belly after your pregnancy (without making terrible super-hero efforts!!).

how to tone your stomach after pregnancyIn order to give a good shape to your stomach and lose some weight, it’s obvious that exercising plays a big part towards the success. But you need to go steady.

You know it, pregnancy and childbirth is a painful time and your body has been ‘traumatised’ by the pain and exertion. That’s why it’s important to state that doing high intensity activities can have more negative effects than positive.

The first rule is to not get back to any sport activity before having seen your GP to  re-build your perinea that has suffered during pregnancy. For the jogging fan, as you understand, it’s better for you to wait a little bit before wearing your trainers!

As you know, your perinea muscles need to get stronger by being supple and reactive in order to assist you whilst partaking in your sporting activity, otherwise if you don’t respect this rule, you may suffer from incontinence and (in the worst case) a prolapse.

Plus, if you’ve had a C-section (=Caesarean section), wait at least 6 weeks. It’s important that you’ve been given an examination by a doctor before exercising.

So it would be silly to be suffer (again) after having suffered so much during the delivery, don’t you think?

But once this rehabilitation has been checked by your GP, there is no hesitation to start your exercise programme.  You can get back to sport, a little at time.

Patience + Toning belt =  flatter tummy!

ab toning belts while pregnantOk, you are not a huge fan of jogging (because it’s cold outside or you can’t be bothered, we don’t blame you…).

So, if you are looking for a (warm!) and soft way to get back to sport or to stimulate your muscles, especially your abdominal muscles that have been let down during the pregnancy, you should try a toning belt (which works on electrical stimulation of your abdominal muscles). An easy way to exercise that is really appreciated by new mummies.

With this new toning belt, you can tone your muscles at home whilst looking after your new baby. How easy is that?!

It’s totally up to you but you can add a few additional exercises along side toning your belly such as Yoga or stretching. You’ll be toned and relaxed!  The toning belt will contribute to helping your abdominal muscles be stronger, in order to get the flat tummy back that you used to have before being pregnant.

Why the toning belt would be beneficial for you:

  • By using stimulation-massaging on your tummy: the massage helps to improve the blood flow and therefore will increase the decomposition  of fatty build-up.
  • The belt could be used on your abs but also on other parts of the body such as legs, arms, calves. All parts of your body can be stimulated to offer the perfect shape for this summer!
  • Easy to use as it doesn’t need any (expensive!) gel pads as the electro-stimulation works via water, simple water from the tap.
  • Made to tone your muscles without being painful or having to do the hard work of ‘practising sports’, plus you are free to do something else totally different in the same time!’
  • This toning belt has got more that 220 positive reviews on Amazon, and some come from new mummies that are greatly satisfied with it!!

To keep in mind about using a Toning Belt:

Every user’s body is different to the next.

Please progress training intensity levels, on the belt, at a pace to suit you. In the unlikely event you experience any abnormal discomfort or pain please stop using the toning belt and contact you GP immediately.

Please note that after training your muscles will ache and feel tight which is completely normal. Muscle ache is your body repairing the muscles after you have exercised and is nothing to worry about.

    Good post.
You’ll see much better results with this diet plan than you would with others that use some generic formula to calculate your nutrient needs.
Yes we would like muscle, but in the right way, and gaining lean muscle
without fat is the key to doing this.

Very helpful. Whilst it is clearly the decision of the user. Some general guidelines on usage time/ setting would be helpful too. I am trying to tone my mummy tummy, I bought this yesterday and I’m on my 4th time. 2x lower stomach 2 x abs… I went in with a 9 E which feels comfortable with no uncomfortably feelings either during or post. I am wondering if twice a day is too much and if the 9 E is suitable to do the desired job. I am also toning stretching / yoga twice a day.
