Frequently asked questions
I believe this unit will require a pressure relief valve which do you recommend?
We have double checked this and this should not require a pressure relief valve.
Why is this heater not suitable for a kitchen sink application?
This item is not suitable for a kitchen sink application because the water demand would quickly burn out the element in the water heater. We would recommend a stored water heater.
Hello what kind of voltage is this unit for
will i need a seperate spur& breaker
This would run on 230 volts and would need a separate 50amp fused spur.
What would be the flow rate at 40 deg centigrade? Does it require specific minimum or maximum mains pressures?
Is it suitable for a standard kitchen sink mixer tap?
Many thanks
David
The flow rate at 40 degrees Celsius would be approximately 5L per minute. The minimum water pressure for the 12Kw unit is 1.4 bar and the maximum is 10.3bar. A mixer tap can be used with this water heater.
I am quoting on an office toilet refurbishment for a busy office
We are considering instant water heaters for the washbasins
Would you recommend an instant multipoint heater in a commercial environment?
There are a maximum of 3 x basins per set of toilets
Although the multipoint water heaters would be suitable, there would be a reduction in the flowrate of the hot water if two or more sinks are used at once. To avoid this happening, we would advise you to use one lower wattage water heater per sink. For example 3 x 133362.
Multipoint Water Heater Required for a Busy Barber shop with Four wash basins, kitchen Sink and a toilet Hand Wash Basin. Will this Unit be able to coop in a busy situation?
This heater would not be suitable for your application. As per the product information, the water heater is suitable for one shower and one hand basin, or two hand basins.
The second Q above asks why this heater can't be used for kitchen sinks. The 4th asks about a kitchen mixer tap and the answer is that it can be used with a mixer.
I want a heater for one kitchen sink, one bathroom sink, and shower. Why doesn't the element burn out with shower use if it does with kitchen use?
Thank you.
Confused, not .com
This model is suitable for 2 x hand basins or 1 x shower. This is not suitable for a kitchen sink. A cylinder water heater would be required.
