- The CEX range of water heaters from Zip use bare wire heating elements to provide a sink or shower with hot water on demand
- Simply turn your tap, and as soon as the minimum flow rate is reached (almost instantly in most cases) hot water arrives to quickly wash your hands.
- With a impressive flow rate (dependant upon water pressure), of 5 litres per minute of hot water, there is no need for waiting for hot water to arrive through the system.
- Alternatively, once your alloted amount of heated water in a storage unit is used, you must then wait for the unit to heat up the new water drafted in to the unit whereas with this instant water heater, hot water is ready for when you require it.
- Zip are also supporting the latest in energy efficiency and renewable heating sources and this unit is suitable for use with pre-heated water from renewable sources up to a maximum inlet temperature of 70 degrees Celsius.
- The temperature of the water is adjustable from between 30 and 55 degrees Celsius with 2 easy programmable settings for quickly changing the temperature. This is particularly useful if you use the sink for hand washing and washing pots.
Reviews
Julian, Shetland
It's early days yet, but so far the performance and controllability of the Zip is an order of magnitude better than the much cheaper lower-spec Amicus which the plumber previously fitted (all three of which failed within 6 months).

Frequently asked questions
Do you stock a similar heater for undersink fitting.?
Peter.
The undersink version of this water heater is our product code 231817.
Could you please just confirm the dimensions
The dimensions are H 294mm x W 177mm x D 108mm.
Hi I have just installed on of these the dex12.8.8-11kw.
How do I adjust it to the 11kw setting?
Do I need to pull the whole thing apart again?
Some said short circuit it! How do I do that?
Thankcs
The power setting is set at time of installation. However, a competent qualified electrician can re-set the power. This is listed on page 10 of the Intallation Manual, which explains how to short circuit the water heater. The manual is listed in "Documents and Instructions" above.
Could this heater fill a small bath
Unfortunately, this heater would not be suitable to fill a small bath. We would recommend the storage water heaters of 80L and above.
Is this suitable for a power shower?
No, it's more suitable for smaller quantities of water such as sinks. We'd recommend using larger storage heaters for a power shower.
