Product information

Width - 25.5 cm
Depth - 21.5 cm
Weight - 3 kg
  • This oversink water heater is a smaller capacity model than others available and is ideal for hand washing and other tasks that require only a small amount of heated water immediately at the basin/sink
  • Supplied with a tap and a spout and ever popular in the catering industry, this unit sits neatly above a sink and will fulfil your hand washing requirements in an efficient matter, cutting down on waste water and excessive energy bills
  • The unit has all the standard safety features including a resettable thermal cut out and external temperature control for adjusting the temperature of the water provided
  • Due to its limited capacity, the unit is suitable for one outlet only
  • The tap will drip slightly and this is perfectly normal and is part of the pressurisation process. Tightening of the tap may damage the unit.

Emma, Gloucestershire
Best water heater we have bought. Others had plastic handles that snapped easily. This one is much more robust and holds a good volume of water.

Delivery was very quick. The heater is now successfully installed and I believe that it will do what is expected of it, in the fullness of time. The Water Heater and The Installation looks GOOD!

Frequently asked questions

Is the water heater vented or unvented?
Vented, via the spout.
Can I fit ordinary taps to the water heater instead of the spout?
No because the spout is the vent. Fitting the water heater to ordinary taps will cause pressure to build up inside the unit.
Are there any special taps that can be fitted?
You can get vented taps. These are complicated and expensive, but look like regular taps and allow the unit to be sited under the sink. But if you are doing this, why not use a Speedflow?
What is the tank made of?
The tank is made from plastic.
What is the kW rating of the water heater?
Is there a safety cut-out on the water heater?
Yes - the Handyflow point of use water heater has a manually re-settable thermal cut-out.
What is the problem if the spout starts dripping on the heating cycle?
There is no problem, a slight dripping is perfectly normal.
What does the neon light mean?
The element is on.
How many sinks can a Handyflow water heater serve?
Only one because the spout will only reach to one sink.
Can I get a longer spout for the water heater?
The standard spout length is 8”, but we do have a 10” spout available if a customer requires it.
This unit is mains fed so you need to connect a mains water supply to the unit.
I just wanted to know if i have low water presure in one of my buildings, would this unit work, it is a very old building?
As long as you can maintain at least 1 bar of water pressure, this would work in your building.
Will this connect to mains pressure, please ?
Yes, this water heater connects to mains water pressure.
Does it produce boiling water for tea-making?
No, this unit is designed for washing up or washing hands etc, not for making tea. We do sell wall kettles and catering urns for that purpose. They can be found in the water heater section under wall kettles.
What is the wattage of this heater and can it be water main fed
It is a 2kw water heater and it can be mains fed.
how do you fill this
This unit needs to be plumbed into your water system.
can you connect the water supply via 15mm braided flexible water hose?
Yes that is fine.
could you please give me the dimensions of this unit the hyco
 H390 x W255 x D215
During the winter I will want to drain the cylinder - is that possible? I know it won't freeze up cos of the facility to heat itself up but over the winter period I would want to avoid the wasted energy turning it off and draining down the cylinder. Tha
It is possible to do this. All you have to do is turn off the mains water and electricity to the unit, and drain the tank.
