Like all electrical products ease of use doesn't quite cover it, but yes its fairly straight forward after studding the booklet or if you have a 5 year old to hand. but I'm very pleased with the product it keeps a small room on the north facing side of the bungalow at a nice temperature and seems as best I can tell a reasonable price. but more importantly the controls are out of site of the fillers amongst us.

Is the 2000W Mylek heater supplied with wheels or rigid feet ?
This Heater can be wall mounted or free standing. The feet and all fixings are supplied.
Does the programmer have a battery back up in order to retain the info in the event of a power cut
If you have a power cut you would need to set the day & time again. The program should be saved.
We have a fairly large open ended hall, would a MYLEK Heater work efficiently in these circumstances.
These are suitable for different size areas, so please measure your hall.

The clearance of 30cm around the heater does this mean from the front face also or just around the edges when wall mounted.
Yes, a clearance is required on all sides. Do not cover with curtains or clothes etc.

Yes.
Would this be suitable to replace an old storage heater which is on an economy 7 circuit?
Only storage heaters will work with economy 7 but these are Lot 20 compliant and energy-efficient. The costs to run are linked under the product. Please check with your utility provider how much they charge you per kilowatt hour to get an exact cost to run per hour.
You say that there must be 30cm clearance all round the heater but when it is free standing it does not appear to be 30cm from the floor. Can it therefore be fitted to the wall with the same distance from the floor was it would be if feet were fitted>
No, for wall mounted installation a 30cm (300mm ) clearance is required on all sides of the heater.
If the thermostat is set somewhere in the region of 18-20 degrees, and a child touched it, could they burn themselves?
Children under 3 should always be supervised and not left. The heater can get very hot to touch and cause burns.
Is the 0.5 kw version of this heater too high to plug into an outdoor extension cable to use in a shed or will I be better off using a tubular heater ? Thanks
For a shed unless well insulated we would recommend a tubular heater.

The cable length is 1.3m and it comes out from the right hand side as you look at the heater.

This can only be programmed using the 24/7 timer on the P3 program every hour not half an hour.
Hello I have two of these heaters and they are absolutely fantastic , I took out 5 old storage heaters and replaced them with 2 of these (1 in the living room and 1 in the hallway outside the bathroom and 2 bedrooms).
They are very economical and it takes literally minutes to warm our flat throughout with just 2 of these (BRAVO MYLEK).
The thing is though I have misplaced the booklet to enable me to set the timer for when my wife and I get home from work, is there any way I could get hold of an instruction

Why can you not buy a replacement aluminium heater element as this part often fails after the guarantee period?
We do not sell internal parts for our heaters and we would not recommend you change any internal parts. The heaters come with a 12-month warranty.

The depth including the wall bracket is 11.5cm.
Is the heater silent?
It is but when the metal heats up & expands and cools down it may make a click noise. It does not have an internal fan.

Yes, they are white.
How do you set it just to come on and off manually without using any of the timer functions. When I switch it on it goes to comfort mode which according to the manual runs through a preprogrammed cycle. All I want to do is set the temperature and switch it on and off with no programmes.
This can be used manually by pressing the power button & then plus or minus to get to the temperature required. (the factory settings are set at 22c in comfort mode)

When wall mounted using the bracket the Mylek Heater will not touch the back board.

I am hoping to use this in my log cabin playroom. Does it get hot to touch and if so could I use a wooden radiator cover with it?
It may get hot depending on the temperature settings. We would not recommend using a radiator cover with any panel heater, instead you may need an oil filled radiator.
Are the controls and timer on the top of the panel heater or on the side? If on the side, which side?
The control is on the top right when standing in front of the heater.
Can this heater be used with a simple on/off heater switch without every hour having to be on the timer.
This can be turned on with the standby button and the + or - buttons used for the temperature. This model can also be programmed using the preset programs P1, P2 or P3.
Is the hear generated by normal heat element and distributed by fan ?
The manufacturer confirms this model contains heating elements but no fan.
