Can the open door sensor be turned off
Open window function: • Press button for the open window and the indicator light will illuminate to show the open window function is activated. If the unit detects an open window or sudden drop in temperature the open window function is activated, the indicator light keeps flashing and stops heating to save energy. • Press the button for open window again to cancel open window function and revert back to previous operational settings.
Can I fit a heat deflector over the heater as wall above gets very warm?
No, do not fit a heat deflector above any heater.
Can I set the heater to turn itself on at the same time every morning?
Yes you can use the 24/7 timer to do that for you
Where does the heat come from? the top or bottom?
The heat will come from the top grills and the surface will also get warm to touch.
I want to shorten the lead. Can I disconnect where the lead leaves the heater, cut the flex to the required length and reconnect.
No, the lead is sealed into the heater but could be spurred using a qualified electrician.
How hot does the outside surface of the radiator get
The surface temperature is approximately between 60 and 80 degrees.
Can this heater be put next to a bed with a small gap of an inch please?
No, a clearance of 30cm is required. Do not place near flammable materials, such as curtains and bedding.

No, it is not recommended for use with a 3-way socket.

Are the heaters silent or do they also include a fan function to speed up the convection heating?
They are quiet and do not have an internal fan.
What's the diameter of the cable? e.g, 0.5mm 1.0mm 1.5mm etc
The cable diameter on the 500w is 0.75mm.
Can it be mounted directly above a plug socket ? And can the cord length be shortened (if it is above a plug socket, don't need 1m length) thanks

Is this radiator safe around children please? Does it get hot and are there any grills on it that a child could easily poke something through?
We would always recommend that small children be supervised near heating appliances. The grills are on the top of the heater no items should be inserted into the air vents. Some parts of the heater can become hot so supervision is required.

It would depend how big the cover is. The heater does require minimum clearances of 30cm above, infront, below and either side.

You would need 300mm clearance above this heater as per the manual.
Hello, is this heater suitable for continuous use for up to 15 hours a day? In a bedroom of a static caravan, should a fire alarm be installed in the bedroom too in case of failure?
It would be suitable yes. You do need to adhere to the miminmum clearances if so there will not be not be a fire risk.

No, they must be installed horizontal as per instruction guidelines by a qualified tradesperson.

No, do not connect the appliance to extension cables or multiple outlets.

As you face the unit, it's on the right side beneath the control panel.
Can these be mounted on wall with vinyl cladding?
We wouldn't recommend installing any heater on vinyl without first installing a backboard as the heat can distort the cladding.

You require a 30cm clearance all the way around the heater.

Could I put a towel rail above this, so that it dries/warms towels? Bathroom has underfloor heating for space heat.
We would not recommend putting a towel rail above the heater. The distance required is 30cm 300mm around the heater to avoid overheating.
