  • The Amicus water heater helps to avoid water waste associated with small basins located away from your main central water heating source
  • Normally, when a tap is switched on in a kitchen or bathroom, a run of water runs through cold before the heated water reaches you. This water is wasted and simply goes down the plug, costing you money that could be saved
  • With these instant under sink water heaters; water is heated as it runs through the water heater, instantly giving you warm or hot water.
  • This model also avoids the need for expensive taps as it can be used with any type of tap. We recommend the use of low flow spray head taps for optimum water heater performance.
  • The temperature of the water varies dependant upon the speed of the water being dispensed
  • The unit can be connected to two adjoining sinks as long as they are used separately from one another
  • The regulating valve included allows you to set comfortable temperatures at the maximum flow of water during installation so you have peace of mind and knowledge that your ideal requirements will be met
  • IP24 Rated for safe use in a wet environment

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum distance between two sinks that this water heater could be fitted to? I have two sinks approx 2 mtrs apart, would it be suitable? Many thanks
As you won't be using them together, 2 metres should be fine. However, there will be some reduction in the flow rate if both sinks are used at the same time.
Please could you confirm the fuse rating on the electric supply Thankyoui
The calculation of fuse rating (amperage) is wattage divided by voltage.
What power supply cable is required My current cable supply is 6mm. Also what would the hot water flow rate be at 40c.
The power cable required is 6mm. This unit operates at a flow rate of 2.9litres per min at 30'c.
can this heater supply a kitchen sink with hot water at a temp of 50
This unit gives you water temperature from 30 to 65 degrees.
Does this unit need an expansion tank? Graham
This unit is an instantaneous water heater therefore does not require an expansion vessel
What is the flow rate of this appliance? Does the rate reduce the higher the temperature?
Please see attached to the product details PDF's with the full installation and flow rates for the water heater.
Can this water heater be connected. to any mixer tap without spray nozzles
This can be connected to any normal taps.
Hello Does this unit require a pressure release valve in case of over heat? Many thanks. Nyk
A pressure release value is only needed if your mains water supply is higher than 6 Bar. The average UK mains water pressure is around 3-4 Bar.
Is this unit able to operate with a 13amp fuse?
This unit cannot operate on a 13 amp fuse. This will have to be hard wired into the mains electric supply with the required fuse. (Please consult a qualified electrian).

Please follow the links below to our Flatback and Storage water heaters which are more suitable for supplying water to a bath.
Whilst the likelihood of the 2 sinks being used simultaneously is very low, what would happen if they were? Kind regards Brian
The flow rate of the water would be reduced.
I wish to buy an amicus electric water heater for the kitchen do I require the junior or senior as I want to be able to use the water for washing up. kind regards
We would advise you to go for the Amicus Senior option - the 6Kw. Please see product code 153818 for further details.
